Talk about screwy!

The MMJ is helping-I know it's easy to say, "But I thought you were doing so well."  But my RSD is full-body and I am always either in my recliner and/or in bed: I don't have restorative therapies available to me and have weakened to the point where I am getting pressure sores-I have had to get a bed-rail so that I can independently get around.  And some days are better than others.  I don't want to stay in one place all the time: I want to be comfortable where I am.  I am doing okay right now-FOR now.  But I am still in constant, chronic and severe pain, and some days I can't even shower I am weak enough still.  If I had the assistive devices I would function more independently and not be having to ask people to get or help with something.  Or lie awake and feel almost every stitch in the sheets, etc, because I have lost so much weight.

 Freaking

The newest product in the Lumex line of Specialty Healthcare Seating, the Preferred Care Bed-Recliner is a revolutionary product designed specifically for:
  • Dialysis and Nocturnal Dialysis
  • IV Therapy
  • Oncology
  • Cardiac Care
  • Same Day Surgery
  • Post-Operative Recovery
  • Any Time Intensive
  • Healthcare Procedures

The Lumex Preferred Care Bed-Recliner combines maximum patient comfort with ease of use by the caregiver. Unlike chairs converted into a “bed”, the Lumex Preferred Care Bed-Recliner offers the comfort of a true bed with an almost infinite number of seated/recline positions. A Specially designed Sleep Surface and Flexible Overlay provide proper support and extreme comfort in any position. Ultra Quiet DC Motors allow the Preferred Care Bed-Recliner to quickly move from a low position of 8.9" Deck Height to 30" Deck Height (without Sleep Support Surface and Overlay). This range of motion allows for easier care by the caregiver in the full up position and helps prevent patient injuries in the low position. The bed deck can be lowered to a height of 8.9" from the floor.

The positioning and height adjustment capability of the Preferred Care Bed-Recliner makes it ideal for patient transfer from a wheelchair, stretcher or another bed. The ability to have equipment at the same height helps to make patient transfers safer for both the patient and caregiver.

The almost infinite positioning capability of the Preferred Care Bed-Recliner makes it ideal for use as a cardiac chair for recovering cardiac patients who have heart and respiratory illnesses. The chair can be made to serve as a fully reclined bed when needed, but can also be adjusted to form a chair. This “cardiac position” helps to elevate the patient from the waist up, which provides relief to the lungs, increases circulation, and assists the patient in coming from a fully prone position to a sitting position without causing harm or undue strain. Unlike a hospital bed the Preferred Care Bed-Recliner is easier to adjust with separate adjustable sections that support back, bottom, arms, and legs rather than a single mattress which typically does not adjust fully into a chair/recline position.

The Sleep Surface and Lumex Overlay have been designed to maximize the comfort of the patient in all positions. Four corner straps secure the Elite Overlay to the Sleep Surface. The Sleep Surface is constructed of durable foam covered in Silvertex Fabric featuring SILVERGUARD Silver Ion Technology.

For maximum durability and infection control, the epoxy coated frame features SilverSolutions. Integrated directly into the finish, SilverSolutions kills more than 99.9% of odor and stain causing bacteria. Non-allergenic, safe for the environment and lasts for the expected life of the bed.

Key Features:
  • Patient and Caregiver Pendants. Caregiver Pendant features a “lock-out” feature
  • Lok-N-Roll Stability System, single step locking system allows the bed to be locked at any height
  • Battery Assist in case of a power failure battery backup assists to power the basic functions of the bed
  • Full and Reverse Trendelenburg Positions
  • Infinite Positioning of Head and Foot Sections
  • Adjustable Leg-Lift System to Improve Circulation
  • No Pinch Points Within 200mm of Bed Perimeter
  • Rolling Clearance of 20mm Over Thresholds
  • Splash-Proof Electronics
  • Under Bed Light

Warranty Information:
  • Bed Frame: Limited Lifetime Warranty
  • Welds: Limited 15 Year Warranty
  • DC Electronic Components: Limited 3 Year Warranty
  • Optional Head/Foot Boards: Limited 1 Year Warranty
  • Sleep Surface & Overlay: Limited 2 Year Warranty

Available Upgrades and Options:
  • Half-length Side Rails (pair) for head end or foot end of bed. Easily slides out of the way when not needed.
  • Assist Bar - stable handhold assists with transfers in and out of bed and positioning.
  • Wall Saver prevents head end of bed from touching the wall by maintaining minimum clearance.
 For now; this would help:

A smokeless cannabis-vaporizing device delivers the same level of active therapeutic chemical and produces the same biological effect as smoking cannabis, but without the harmful toxins, according to University of California San Francisco researchers.

Have you ever wondered what temperature you should use for your vaporizer?

I call it Hell and Freedom on the 4th of July: A Prisoner in my own body

I was given this body you see,
and it had gone and done betrayed me,
Or so it seems.  There is a name for it, now-
it is the most painful experience of my life
hands down: I feel like I have lived this way as long as I can remember.
Funny, is I went back in my history with my doctor,
and this RSD that was "recently dianosed
*RSD", many of my symtoms have been around
since Thanksgiving, this was me
MARCH 2011-One month before surgery, five weeks before the onset of the RSD/CRPS

Thanksgiving 2011 (below): 6 months post first visit to my PCP for onset of RSD.

This means 50% of my pain was already INDEPENDENTLY MEDIATED: from deep within the brain stem, at the cerebellum

   BMI:
Where it's controlled by the same group of cells that control breathing & your heart beat and rhythm, and other life-sustaining functions of the body; so in essence-as long as I have a pulse, unless I can get life-giving Ketamine.  And not in a nasal spray.

MARCH 2012-just after the RSD went full-body.

Female, 6'1, 152  BMI =

 Late March

Kcalorie needs for someone who is :

female
6'1
162lbs (not since college) = 20.1

68 pound weight loss since

JUNE 2012

BMI: 16.8

I WAS DISCHARGED FROM THE HELLHOLE FRIDAY, APRIL 13 (on hospital stay number ONE) and my weight was 141.9
My wheelchair is to be delivered soon.  I look forward to the independence,
my legs don't swell so much, they are stiff, and locking up.
Nutritional deficiencies cause predisposition to bedsores-at 37 years old.
Just think of being able to do nothing-I lay on an air mattress, I force the bath issue, I drink my tea or coffee,

As my teeth fall out not one by one,
but more like dominoes.
My dentist is talking about a bridge or dentures!!!
Root canals don't hurt anymore.
Just put me to sleep!
I can with nitrous, dream of how wonderful  it would be
to have the kind of family who would just as soon bury me out back with a dead raccoon; and they do "pulse checks."

I pass, I am alive.  I am alive.

I stopped living a very long time ago.

Ho, hum-

I am going through hell on earth pain-wise.  My cat, this got stuck in the blinds and WHO got scratched to fu**ing ribbons.  May have to be looking at the shots below-here's what happened:

Middle of the night, I am jerked awake (for the rest of the night) and he was dangling from the kitchen blinds....yowling and hissing-poor fella was totally STUCK!!!

Knowing what was coming next (getting possibly bitten, and definitely scratched to ribbons, I reached in and pulled him out.  For a price, a very high one-I took over the screaming, and my neighbors, only hearing racket and then me screaming, the paramedics show up to find a minorly injured hand but in very severe pain, and said, rather sarcastically, "Do you want us to take care of the cat scatch on you and or go to the hospital?"

A lot of doctors may be assholes about RSD, but paramedics almost never act like such asses.

Cat bites hurt like a MF, and this was definitely no exception.  One of the worst, actually.  But I was determined to treat with only homeopathics.

If you wouldn't mind, dropping five or ten in my campaign jar, for = kidding!!!  I will ask my father.

When he found out that  the weed has me at least eating again, and I wasn't "pulling his chain," so to speak, as he watched me pick food out at the grocery, I volunteered to write him $30 check (to make the delivery minimum, he handed me fifty bucks- I said "You DO know what this is going going towards???"  He just shrugged and said "If it helps you eat, then keep it."  From the guy who has always told me to lose weight he had certainly done an "About Face"
But who gives a CRAP when you have a disease that already makes you feel like you are on fire, how could you be anything other than a mentally ill drug addict.  I don't usually NOTICE a cat scratch,,,,so PISS OFF!!!

He felt bad at least, and so did my dad-he did call to see how I was feeling.  And it's "Shit, the fucking dentist-and it's too fucking late to cancel.....dammit, I am going to saw the fucker off myself!!!!!

God forbid, now that I am at the end of the day and it's swollen as hell, now people give a shit, awwww, come on now, JJ ain't totally stupid!!!!

I am going to try and make this my pain meds.  Oh, hell Dad can't even afford it.  Bonging while feeling like this-hahaha!
                                  :'-(

At least on Skype you can go "offline" and smoke MMJ from your stash....

Time for a dose-typing, etc: I can't hardle much more pain and her shit too.
